so long sweet summer, i followed you over and gratefully basked in your rays.

I'm more of a winter person, truly.

I used to think I was more of a summer person, because I dreadfully hate the cold.
But I realize I like the winter feeling. I like the smell of heaters, the feel of sweaters and blankets--gazing at Christmas lights, drinking hot things, singing Christmas carols--reading word time in my bed, wearing ragged woolen socks.

If there was a god of summer I'd sacrifice to him.
Lazy days of drinking beer outdoors, parties where chicks can get nekkid without freezing, and I can be the nudist proudly, surfing happily on a beach wearing board shorts.
Summer is the season of fun and activties.

beaches are for people to soak in salty water like so many teabags...lazy summer days are fine. but I'd agree that winter's chummy warmth beats out the sweaty summer heat:)

wahhhhh

winter = sick in bed with a fever

of my 3 years in Rio I only got a cold once, and that was because I shaved my head on some cold day

I get a fever around Christmas.
Every year without fail.
Last year I managed to preempt it...so it didn't make me bedridden...but our shows did suffer.

I'm with Liz on this one. Pumpkin pie, eggnog, apple cider, hot cocoa, hats and scarves, falling leaves, rain and puddles, roaring fires, blankets, a good book. Ahhhhhh.......
